The Department of Social Sciences would like to extend a warm welcome. The department’s mission is to advance knowledge in social studies education, religious and moral education, and to produce a holistic graduate who will promote social and intra-religious, inter-religious, or trans-religious dialogue for peaceful coexistence in society. This will help to advance socioeconomic development, intrareligious understanding, and human development in general. With the conviction that social sciences are academic disciplines concerned with understanding society by using multiple methodologies, including research and scientific and historical approaches, the department seeks to equip and inculcate in students’ teachers’ desirable attitudes and all the necessary skills of the teaching profession by training students in the three main domains namely the Cognitive, Psychomotor and affective domains.
These are to blame for the rise in graduate applications we’ve seen. Our program offers a multidisciplinary learning environment that encourages student teachers to think critically and globally about interpersonal relationships, ethics, and moral principles in society. They are then taught to apply this broadened worldview to their professions.
Our goal is to give people the chance to deepen their understanding of and knowledge about socio-religious issues, to study the connections between disciplinary knowledge and socioreligious realities, to relate the subject matter to the social context, and to cultivate critical thinking. Once more, we give people the chance to hone their professional-pedagogical, observational, documentation, analytical, dramatic, craft, storytelling, and reflective inquiry skills. We offer high-quality instruction and training that encourage academic performance to raise people’s quality of life.
We provide the best possible educational experience for student teachers. Our programs are up to par with national and international standards, and our students are dedicated to getting the job done, honest, and open to meeting the demands of a diverse environment from the angles of social and religious education for a fair, welcoming, peaceful, and humane society.
To solve the puzzles surrounding beginning and end-of-life concerns, address the challenges of the teaching profession, and investigate the philosophical and metaphysical facets of human society, the Department instils moral and ethical ideals and principles in student teachers.
